Effect of Water Level Reduction on the Littoral Zone in Terms of Its Efficiency in Lake Protection

Decreased water levels due to climate change cause many negative effects on lake ecosystems. The aim of this study was (a) assess the effect reduction nutrient availability in sediment littoral zone; (b) evaluate changes level biomass productivity and concentrations aboveground four emergent species: Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trin. ex Steud., Typha angustifolia L., Carex acutiformis Glyceria maxima (C. Hartm.) Six transects, perpendicular shoreline, were selected two subzones—permanently seasonally flooded.
